Soro 2.0 introduces Live Activity and Home Screen widget, enhancing your ability to control your Sonos system from the lock and home screens.

Soro enhances the functionality of iOS, Siri, and the Shortcuts app by providing new actions to control your Sonos speakers and devices. With the latest version 2.0, Soro now incorporates Live Activity and Home Screen widget features, allowing seamless control of your Sonos system directly from the lock and home screens.

In addition to the new control capabilities, Soro enables you to create quick actions or comprehensive workflows to manage your speakers using the Shortcuts app. Take advantage of widgets, Siri voice commands, or automations to simplify the process.

• Similar to the Intercom action available for the HomePod, Soro offers users the ability to play messages (or media files) on any supported* Sonos speaker. This feature utilizes the built-in text-to-speech capabilities of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. It seamlessly continues playing content after delivering the message.
• Discover the possibilities with our pre-built example shortcuts 'Text to Speech' and 'Walkie Talkie' and create your own customized shortcuts.

• Soro introduces over 30 actions in the Shortcuts app to control your Sonos system.

• Effortlessly control playback, adjust speaker groups, set volume and EQ, configure subwoofers, surround sound, and TV sound parameters, and manage alarms.
• Create and separate stereo pairs, among other functionalities.

Please note that your device must be connected to the same network as your Sonos speakers, and local network access must be granted by launching the main Soro app initially.

If you are using a VPN, multiple Sonos systems, or experiencing connectivity issues, we recommend trying the Direct Connect feature within the app. This feature not only enhances execution speed but also optimizes performance. Feel free to enable it whenever necessary. You can access this feature by tapping ••• in the top left corner of the app and selecting 'Multiple systems or using VPN?'

* Supported speakers for 'Speak Text' action: Sonos One, Amp, Port, Play:5 (gen 2), Beam, One SL, Move, SYMFONISK table lamp with WiFi, SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf, and all newer speakers using the Sonos S2 system.

* The 'Speak Text' action (like the rest of the app) operates over the local network only.
